Hill Country Food Tours serve enough food that for most participants, eating afterwards is not necessary. With the combination of drink and food tastings along with breaks for cultural and historical insight, most participants are comfortably full after our food tours. Please understand our food tours are not intended to replace 2 meals, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate your needs.
Parking is available at nearby lots or on the street. Detailed information on where to park will be e-mailed to you once ticketed for the tour.
Yes! Children ages 12 and older are welcome!
Our tour combines historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 2.5-hour experience. Imagine walking through historic downtown Boerne eating our local artisans most delicious foods while learning the neighborhood from a real local.
To maximize your chances of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
The tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We advise you to check the weather conditions on the day of your event and dress appropriately.
All locations are wheelchair accessible. For guests that are hard of hearing, a written script of the narration will be available at the ticket office upon request.
At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English.
We absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests (family reunions, Birthday parties, out of town guests, corporate, conventions, festivals, parades, grand openings and more).
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes that you are able to walk a little over 1 mile in. Sunscreen is recommended and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. If it looks like rain, don’t forget to plan accordingly.
There are a couple of tastings beer on this tour. We offer a non-alcoholic beverage as an alternative at these stops.
