On Saturday July 1st, we had a very special tour full of some of our favorite Instagram bloggers. First, food and travel blogger, Amanda (@S.A.Foodie); Gerard from GoFro Media (@GoFroMedia); food editor for INTASTE Magazine, Alex (@SanAntonioMunchies); San Antonio foodie, Anthony (@SAFood.e); from Whisk and Rye, Reilly (@whiskandrye); and finally, local food lover, Stephanie (@SanAntonioStephanie). We thank each of you for spending your Saturday with us. Also, we invite our fans to follow each of these guys on their Instagram adventures.
So, what’s a food tour all about anyway? First and foremost, it’s about food. Boerne happens to have some of the best gourmet food around. We sample just about 10 restaurants and stores in downtown Boerne including The Dodging Duck Brewhaus, Cibolo Creek Brewing Company, Boerne Epicure, Cypress Grille, Fickle Pickle, Peggy’s on the Green, the Dienger Trading Company, Boerne Grill, Brantley’s 259 Bistro, and Bear Moon Bakery and Café. While we mostly sample appetizers, you can expect to have a full and happy tummy at the end of our tour.
On our special blogger tour, favorite dishes were the seared ahi tuna nachos from Cypress Grille; and the salami chips with jalapeno bread and butter dip from Brantley’s 259 Bistro. The seared ahi tuna is served on a crispy wonton with wasabi aioli, avocado, cucumber, and caviar. It is simply phenomenal, while the fried salami chips are nothing short of genius. In addition to those amazing dishes, you can expect to taste plenty of desserts, local coffee, and even local craft beer on our tour.
Beyond food, you can expect to learn about historical downtown Boerne. Our tour guide, Ben, is a native Texan and shares a wealth of knowledge about Boerne’s rich history. Whether you are a local or visiting from surrounding areas, you will learn something new on this tour. Last, but certainly not least, you can expect to walk away with an extremely unique experience. Whether you brought your whole crew or made friends on the tour, you will have lifelong memories from your time eating, exploring, and enjoying Boerne. We have tours every Saturday at 11 am, click here to book yours today!
